You wonder why the media hide and lie so much.

Is it, somehow, to protect us, as if we were underage kids, forcing us into nonage ? Too "graphic" for you people.

Remember what Henry Miller wrote in The Colossus of Maroussi ?

"Newspapers engender lies, hatred, greed, envy, suspicion, fear, malice. We don't need the truth as it is dished up to us in the daily papers."

Since October 7, 2023, I have scanned the media (Israeli, Palestinian, British, American, French) daily, thoroughly. Left no stone unturned, regardless of their political angles and investments.

I had seen some pictures of what happened in Kfar Aza, Nahal Oz, Be'eri, Nir Oz.

Nothing that prepared me to what I found once I was on the road from Nirim to Nir Oz.

(Kfar Aza, Nahal Oz, Erez, Be'eri, I could not enter).

I really wonder why they downplayed so much what really happened there in those nightmare hours, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. When I told my friends in Israel, they looked surprised: they thought they had seen it all on the screens.
I kept telling them they had seen 10% of the reality, at most.

It makes you wonder about the pictures they show of Gaza : is it the other way round ? Not likely ?

I took dozens of pictures in Nir Oz. Nathan, the surviving dean, who escorted me through the ruins, was puzzled : why do you have to take these more pictures ? You'll see so many more...

We started posting them the night Iran launched its drones and ballistic missiles at Israel.

And then, it's been like some devilish hand plunged our heads into a sticky mixture of shock and disbelief again.
